Engine weights
How much does a big block and a small block weigh?
What about an old poly motor?

Re: Engine weights
360 Blk w/ caps, bolts, and mounts 176lbs. 2oz
That's the only thing I had laying around that was almost bare that I could weigh. I have weights for heads and other stuff if you need them. I help David out with his race cars and we made up a partial weight list of things and up date it from time to time when we can.

Re: Engine weights
Dont know the exact weight. Run a small block an I gave up 100 pounds when I changed to mopar from chev. Very happy with the results although weight is not one of the advantages.

Re: Engine weights
I believe that the 440 is a 120 lbs heavier than a small block, but don't hold me to that.
Re: Engine weights
What's a poly engine weigh? I'd love to keep my 35 Plymouth Sedan all Mopar. I can get a 318/904 free but an old Poly would be cool!

Re: Engine weights
I did some searchin on the net, but could not come up with any weights on the poly. Here's some links I found though, that might be of interest.
