On the bottom of the snorkel of the air cleaner. Is there suppose to be a hose connected to it??? My 318 doesnt seem to have an air heater on the manifold. Why?

Someone probably took it off or it rusted off. IT should have a sheet metal stove on the manifold and an acordian tube to the air cleaner snorkel. Very Happy

Is it necessary to have? Or just leave that opening alone?

You can leave it alone. It just helps it warm up faster on colder mornings. IT wont hurt anything.
