These look promising. At least you can get away from the chebby type rocker system on magnums heads. Magnums are bad about pulling or breaking the small studs off for the rockers and bad about cracking too. Not to mention the poor valve train geometry. And they make a mod so you can put shaft rockers on the magnum heads, but it's not worth the cost when you can use an old X,J,or U heads and get the same or even more power with the right dual pattern cams. Plus the old heads are much cheaper to run too.

This new head wont be any good for circle racing in most classes cause it has no factory part number or casting numbers which is too bad. Can't use it in higher up classes that don't care about the factory numbers cause there's better race heads that will out do these. It should make a good street head or drag car head.

RHS®️ and Indy Cylinder Heads have recently teamed up to give Mopar performance enthusiasts the performance cast iron head they deserve. Designed as a cast iron replacement for small block LA and Magnum engine applications (318-360-415 c.i.), the RHS®️ Indy 360 X Cylinder Heads utilize patented RHS®️ Clean Cast Technology™️ and feature a host of other improvements over the factory originals, giving your Mopar-powered street machine an easy ticket to making 400 to 550 horsepower.

The 360 X series is divided into two sub-series – the LA-X for Chrysler LA-style engines and the MA-X for Magnum applications. The LA-X Head uses the standard intake manifold and rocker shaft. It is drilled for the proper valve cover and gasket and contains both Chrylser LA and Magnum accessory holes on both ends of the head. Designed for use with the Magnum intake manifold, rocker arms, gaskets and valve covers, the MA-X Head features a Magnum pedestal large enough to enable 7/16”-14 drilling and tapping for stud-mounted rocker arms and guide plates.

* Cast iron replacement cylinder head designed for small block Chrysler LA & Magnum (318-360-415 c.i.) engine applications

* 179cc intake & 67cc exhaust runners with a 62cc combustion chamber

* Hardened multi-angle intake (1.920”) & radiused exhaust (1.625”) valve seats

* Dual pattern exhaust bolts (standard & W2)

* Improved 5/16” valve guide design & extra thick deck faces for angle milling

* Highly efficient water jacket for cooler, more efficient engine operations

$335.16 ea.

I may buy a set and throw them on a 318 with some 2.02 valves added and see how they do compared to the old X heads. Wonder how much you could get out of these ported? Very Happy

New small block heads Empty well they say....

Well they say around 298cfm-305cfm which is where the old heads touch as well but man is it easier to get the exhaust port working on the new heads, and over all [int-exh] it takes less work with the new heads, but close to the same results in the end.

I also wonder how these new heads will respond to a dual pattern cam compared to the old X's.
