Let's talk about Calibers!
All youse guys with your nostalgia talk about ancient history.
Chuzz & I both own '08 Caibers. Mine is an SXT.
Made a few mods to it. Added a rear bumper step pad to keep the dogs from scratching
the top of the bumper when they jump in.
I'll show the pics.
and here is the after:
This simple pad is made froma stock Dodge Magnum pad, cut down to fit---- and it is cheap!
Next, I had the windows tinted, because the orginal light factory tint doen't cut it down here in FL.
This was the legal max. allowed:
Next, I am a fanatic for body-colored bug shields. But, everybody wants to sell you the cheap, screw
down to the hood black or smoke-colored ones! No Way!!! After several false starts, and a lot of bad info,
located one made by AVG, but they are not cheap. Posted a link elsewhere on how to paint the backside,
and install one of these babies. Here's what they should look like, finished:
and another view:
Next I'm gonna do something about that wimpy horn that sounds like a stepped on worm! Got a Stebel
Deluxe mini- motorcycle air horn that puts out 139dB! That'l make'm move over!
That's it for now..... if I can get it away from my wife.....

Looks good. Only fwd I own is my Intrepid though. I think you and Chuzz might be the only Caliber owners here so far. Need to dig up some more and get them to join.

Re: Let's talk about Calibers!
Yep, I went by that dealership Friday and it was gone. I hope someone who knew what they were getting bought it and got a good deal on it. The first Caliber I actually looked at before I got mine was a Burnt Orange color with the 1.8 and five speed. The biggest reason I passed on it was because the wife can't drive a stick anymore after having four back surgeries and being eaten up with arthritis. Hell, she doesn't do much driving at all anymore anyway. Too many pain pills and since having tubes put in her ears, her balance is not too steady either. It really sucks for her now.

Charlie, my wife and I offer you, your wife, our compassion. Hey, the guy who wants to turbo the slant six, where'd he go?... I have the kinks out of this!

Actually Bill, he's on the allpar site. He hasn't made a post there in quite a while. I'm going to see if I can find it and ask him to come over here so you can tell him how to go about it. He wasn't getting much positive help over there, and that may be why he hasn't followed up with it.

Re: Let's talk about Calibers!
Charlie,
Now I'm getting giddy about making a 225 turbo slant and putting it in a pickup... now i've got to start looking for an old dodge half ton with a slant and hopefully a four on the floor... tear it apart, lighten it up, make it look incredibly stock... until you open the hood... were you'll find all my goodies... ya know, i've not had time to do a hobby in a long while... this might be the ticket... and a fun one to boot...
I've got the aluminum to make a bedplate for the engine, if i look around enough i've probably got a TO5 turbo laying somewhere (i know how that sounds but i've boxes of turbos taken off of various cars, diesels, etc... ) ... begining to like the idea a whole lotta bit
