1970 AMC Big Bad Orange AMX

Here is my 1970 AMC AMX. I have owned this car since 1975. It has a 360 with a BW 4 speed, 3.45 rear gear. The color is Big Bad Orange only 122 made in 1970. Only 836 of the 4000 70 AMXs have the 360 engine. The 390 was only a $35 option. The interior is tan/brown and includes the original 8 track tape player an $98 option in 1970. I would have bought the 390 instead of the 8 track!

Very nice car. I always loved those and the Ramblers that had the factory hood scoops on them. I wished I had a pic of the Matador I had with the 401. IT was black and I put the Road Wheels off of my Road Runner on it. Looked good with those wheels on there.

Interior

Good looking car, not many fiull on AMC's left in my area that aren't fair weather weekend cruisers. Had some guy wanting to build his own SRT8 Comanche on NAXJA and was thinking about painting it Hemi Orange, I suggested that color once he got to the point of painting it!

Thanks! I really don't drive this one too much. Every time I do though I wonder why I don't. It drives and handles great and is very quick. I've owned it for 34 years now and have too much invested in it. I know of only 4 other 2 seater AMXs in my area.

Big Bad Orange is the same PPG color code as Chevy Hugger Orange.
